Starke’s Schweinsbäckchentender, hearty & traditional

Our Starke’s Schweinsbäckchen (pork cheeks) are a real classic for lovers of hearty home cooking. The pork cheeks are cooked gently until the meat is especially tender and juicy. Together with the rich, savoury sauce they make a full-flavoured dish that tastes as if it came straight from your own kitchen.

Preparation and serving suggestions

Already fully cooked in the jar, the pork cheeks are ideal when things need to be quick but still taste really good. Simply heat and enjoy.

In a saucepan

Put the contents of the jar into a saucepan and warm slowly over medium heat, stirring gently from time to time. Do not boil hard so the meat stays tender and juicy.

In the microwave

Alternatively, the dish can be heated in a suitable dish in the microwave.

Our side dish recommendation

The pork cheeks are especially good with mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, dumplings or spaetzle. Red cabbage, green beans or other hearty vegetables go well with them.
