Starke’s Beef Goulash

Hearty beef goulash made the traditional way, slowly and gently cooked. Tender pieces of beef in a rich, well-seasoned sauce make for real home cooking. Already fully cooked and ideal when things need to be quick – just reheat, serve and enjoy.

Preparation and serving suggestions

How to prepare it

Put the contents of the jar into a suitable saucepan and warm through slowly over medium heat. Stir regularly so that nothing catches on the bottom. The goulash should only simmer gently and must not be brought to a rolling boil. That keeps the meat especially tender and juicy.

Add a small splash of water or stock if you like. Then serve hot and garnish with a little fresh parsley.

What to serve with it

Beef goulash goes particularly well with spätzle, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, bread dumplings or pasta. We recommend red cabbage, apple red cabbage or a fresh salad alongside.

For the rustic version, simply serve it with a slice of hearty farmhouse bread – perfect for mopping up the rich sauce.
